Prof. Melody Baglione Keynote Speaker for Upcoming UC Davis Global Energy Managers Workshop

Professor of Mechanical Engineering Melody Baglione will start off the keynote session for UC Davis’ 2nd Global Energy Mangers Workshop this Wednesday, October 7, 2020 (Energy Efficiency Day) at 12pm EST (9am PST).
The annual workshop will be held online gathering students, faculty, and facility managers from around the world. The workshop is free of charge and will highlight energy-saving, cost management, and carbon reduction strategies this Energy Efficiency Day.
As keynote, Prof. Baglione will present the topic on New York City’s Carbon Challenge and Cooper Union Activism: Engaging Students to Address Critical Challenges and Opportunities of our Time. She is scheduled to speak alongside two additional keynote speakers: Jean-Phillipe Seya, Regional Engineering Manger Western & Central Africa, Aggreko International and David Phillips, Associate Vice President for Energy and Sustainability, University of California Office of the President. Prof. Baglione will also present during the education session 4pm EST (1pm PST) on Project-based Learning in Energy alongside Dr. Kurt Kornbluth, Director of the Program for International Energy Technologies & D-Lab at UC Davis and Devon Schmidt, Energy Graduate Group student at UC Davis.
