Continue to visit this webpage, the Admitted Student webpage, and join the Facebook group.

We hope you will be joining us for Admitted Students Day on Sunday, April 6, 2025. We will send an invite and post the registration link here, in your applicant portal, and in the Facebook group (registration is required); be mindful that registration is required to attend. The Facebook group will have reminders about deadlines, upcoming events, and provide a space for you to meet and engage with your future classmates and community.

Additionally, we have important onboarding checklist items listed on this webpage which we will continue to update.

You must submit the following forms:
1) personal medical history (parts I & II)
2) physician’s medical clearance form
3) immunization form
4) meningococcal meningitis vaccination response form
5) emergency action plan form

All five required forms can be found here and in your applicant portal under the admitted student checklist tab. If you have questions about these forms, please contact the office of student affairs at healthforms@cooper.edu. Please note, New York State requires proof of immunization from measles, mumps, and rubella before starting as a Cooper Union student.

Review Your Checklist and the below Next Steps.

Please be sure to review the Checklist in your applicant portal for any missing materials. This will help ensure a smooth onboarding process.

NEXT STEPS

International Students: Complete Your I-20 Application

International students are required to submit an I-20 application: I-20 application instructions.

The deadline to submit your I-20 application is June 1.

Questions regarding your financial aid or payment plan?

Make a virtual appointment to meet with a member of the Financial Student Services team for questions regarding your aid or your accounts.

Apply for Housing

Students in their first-year may elect to stay in our student Residence Hall, located three minutes from campus. The housing application will go live on March 1.

Transfer and graduate students are welcome to apply as well, however, our first-year students will be given priority.

Submit Your Final Transcripts

Email an official copy of your final transcript from your high school and/or college, certifying your graduation and/or completion of college coursework to admissions@cooper.edu by July 1.

International Students: All official transcripts must be translated into English with the date of graduation clearly indicated. An official transcript includes a signature from a school official and a school stamp/seal.

Submit Your Health Forms

You must submit the following forms: 1) personal medical history (parts I & II), 2) physician’s medical clearance form, 3) immunization form, 4) meningococcal meningitis vaccination response form, and 5) emergency action plan form. Summer School 2025

TBD

We have also put together a Resource Guide. Please reach out to admissions@cooper.edu with any additional questions.

  • Founded by inventor, industrialist and philanthropist Peter Cooper in 1859, The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art offers education in art, architecture and engineering, as well as courses in the humanities and social sciences.

  • “My feelings, my desires, my hopes, embrace humanity throughout the world,” Peter Cooper proclaimed in a speech in 1853. He looked forward to a time when, “knowledge shall cover the earth as waters cover the great deep.”

  • From its beginnings, Cooper Union was a unique institution, dedicated to founder Peter Cooper's proposition that education is the key not only to personal prosperity but to civic virtue and harmony.

  • Peter Cooper wanted his graduates to acquire the technical mastery and entrepreneurial skills, enrich their intellects and spark their creativity, and develop a sense of social justice that would translate into action.
