Theoretical and Computational Sciences Research
Theoretical and Computational Sciences are at the intersection of applied mathematics, computer sciences, and engineering, applying and developing cutting-edge software and models in simulations of multi-disciplinary problems. Cooper Union researchers leverage high-performance computing (HPC) resources to tackle critical science and engineering challenges that would be too dangerous, expensive, or simply impossible to do otherwise. In projects ranging from understanding material properties at quantum scales to predicting large-scale ocean behavior, Cooper is actively contributing to computational solutions of engineering’s grand challenges.
