Nada Shetewi ChE’24 Awarded Sustainability Poster Prize

In July, chemical engineering student Nada Shetewi ChE’24 was awarded the Sustainability Prize for undergraduate poster presentations at Clarkson University's Research and Project Showcase (RAPS). Her award-winning research was on the “Mitigation of Toxic Algal Blooms Using Electrochemical Oxidation." 

RAPS, held twice annually in April and July, is a forum for student presentations on research and independent projects, or other educational activities such as internships, co-ops, and study abroad experiences. Shetewi was part of and completed research at the Aquatic Science Engineering and Technology Research Experience for Undergraduates (ASET-REU) at Clarkson University.

"I was very lucky to get to know my fellow cohorts in the program and amazing lab mates. Thank you to all the faculty members who supported and guided me through this experience,” says Shetewi about her time at Clarkson.
