Mary Vavruska CE’22 Awarded Two Scholarships

Senior civil engineering student, Mary Vavruska, was awarded two scholarships - $6,500 from The Moles Charitable Fund, Inc. and $2,500 from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC NY).
The Moles’ scholarship funds are presented annually to academically qualified and deserving students at participating colleges and universities. Recipients are selected by the Dean and faculty representative from their respective Engineering School. The Cooper Union’s faculty representative is Vito A. Guido, Professor and George Fox Chair of Civil Engineering.
The ACEC NY scholarship is offered to students studying engineering at a college or university in New York state. The ACEC NY Scholarship is intended to promote the engineering profession to the next generation, award outstanding engineering students, and help New York retain promising young talent. Recipients are picked based on a combination of their grades, resume, and interest in pursuing a career in consulting engineering.
