Transfer of Academic Credit
Every effort is made to provide admitted students with a preliminary evaluation of their transfer credit. School-wide policies dictate that a grade of B or better must be earned to be eligible for transfer of credit.
To seek credit, or if there is a question about whether or not a class taken at a previous institution is eligible for transfer of credit, please contact the department chairperson or respective dean of the school to which you are interested in obtaining credit.
Each department/school reserves the right to ask for additional information, i.e., coursework, syllabus, portfolio, etc., before granting transfer credit.
Currently enrolled students must always contact the appropriate department chairperson and school dean of at The Cooper Union prior to registering for classes at other colleges or universities should there be interest in obtaining transfer credit at The Cooper Union. Explicit permission must be granted by the department chairperson and school dean before registering at another college or university to ensure that the course will be transferable.
