The lecture will discuss Tei Carpenter / Agency—Agency’s recent work that explores the life of materials, infrastructures and designed elements within larger environmental transformations and within the everyday.
This event will be moderated by Daisy Ames.
Tei Carpenter is an architectural designer, educator and founder of Agency—Agency, an award-winning New York City and Toronto-based architecture and design studio. The practice works on projects at a variety of scales including buildings, infrastructures, objects, and environments. She is Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto where she teaches design studios and seminars. Her design and research work has been supported by a number of international organizations including the New York State Council on the Arts and BMW Mini. Agency—Agency has been honored as a Next Progressives by Architect Magazine, selected as one of the 2018 New Practices New York by the American Institute of Architects, and recently featured in Domus Magazine’s list of the Best 100 Architecture Firms.
