DRAWING FROM THE ARCHIVE: Analysis as Design
Tue, Oct 14, 2014 12am - Wed, Nov 26, 2014 12am
Showcasing analysis work completed at The School of Architecture between 1967 and 2014, this exhibition will celebrate the school's unique approach to analysis as a didactic, structural and abstract discipline. Drawing from the Architecture Archive's collection of student projects, the show will examine significant works of architecture from the Renaissance through the modern period, as well as recently completed buildings. The exhibition will present a broad range of techniques of analysis and representation, which have evolved radically in recent years-from precisely constructed hand drawings to digital drawings and virtual processes that explore new modes of analysis using a variety of materials and tools within a single project.
