An introduction to the linear perspective systems as a foundational drawing skill. Students will learn a variety of basic concepts and techniques to convey dimensionality of architectural space onto the 2 dimensional picture plane. Working in black and white drawing media, students explore concepts of linear perspective through a series of exercises and projects that include drawing from the imagination and also drawing from observational study. Taking advantage of our fully remote class, we will focus longer observational drawings on the interior architecture within the immediate environment and the domestic space. This class welcomes beginners new to the concept of linear perspective, as well as the experienced student looking to brush up on this technical skill.
