Marina Ancona

Marina Ancona is an artist and master printer. She founded 10 Grand Press in 1999 in Brooklyn, NY and a satellite workshop in Santa Fe, NM. Ancona’s publishing and projects have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
the Queens Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Kunsthalle Basel and included in contemporary print collections of MOMA, Whitney Museum of American Art, and Metropolitan Museum, among others. Ancona has collaborated with a range of artists, such as Nicole Eisenman, Carrie Moyer, Jeff Gibson, Leidy Churchman, Nicola Lopez, Harmony Hammond, Patty Chang, Sanya Kantarovsky and Ulrike Muller. She has conducted lectures and workshops at Bard College, Sarah Lawrence College, SUNY Purchase, and Pratt Institute, among other institutions.
Before opening 10 Grand Press, Marina Ancona worked in print shops in Santa Fe, Paris, and New York. She has studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and taken master classes Helen Frankenthaler, Ken Noland, and Susan Rothenberg at the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts.
