Art and Architecture Faculty Participate in the Whitney Biennial 2024

The 2024 Whitney Biennial recently announced participants in this year's exhibition and it includes two current adjunct faculty members from the School of Art, Lotus L. Kang and Simon Liu, and one adjunct in The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, Torkwase Dyson. Opening March 20, this is the 81st edition of the Whitney’s landmark exhibition series, the longest-running survey of American art.

Kang is the School of Art Spring 2024 Henry Wolf Chair in Photography and as part of her position will give a talk about her work later this semester. Liu, who has been at Cooper since 2018, teaches Audiovisual, a two-semester introduction to concepts, techniques, and histories of artists' moving image work. Dyson is the School of Architecture's 2024 Feltman Chair; previously, she was the Spring 2019 Robert Gwathmey Chair.

Additionally, the 2024 exhibition includes works by several former art faculty members including Diane Severin Nguyen, Carolyn Lazard, and Sharon Hayes.
