Aftab Hussain
Aftab Hussain ME'97 is a Partner and Managing Director and the head of the New Jersey office of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG, Aftab is focused on transforming companies both strategically and financially. He has spent a majority of his time working in retail/consumer goods and higher education. Aftab has supported strategic planning for multiple universities and colleges working with administration, alumni, faculty and students in developing comprehensive short and long-term plans. In addition to leading the New Jersey office for BCG, Aftab sits on BCG’s global retail leadership team and is core member of the global operations team.
Prior to joining BCG, Aftab was a Finance Manager at Unilever HPC in Chicago and a Senior Project Engineer with Lockheed Martin.
Aftab graduated from The Cooper Union with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned an MS in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance and Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Aftab serves as a trustee to the Independent College Fund of New Jersey. While at Cooper, he served for four years on the student council and was the president of the honor society for Mechanical Engineering.
